Spring beckons us
To search the world for life:
A call from under every rock;
A song from every tree.

The laughter of the brook;
The swells beneath the soil,
Are old friends come to visit.

The heron drifts through reflections.
Color returns to the trees
And discreetly dyes the landscape
As buds push off the leaves.

A new order takes form
And an understory begins.
