Gateways to ‘ALL’

Once upon a time I came to the conclusion that the whole universe was contained in the word ‘ALL’. With only three letters to its name this word is not very large, yet everything we have ever known is contained somewhere within it. Today I have come to quite a similar conclusion: all that we have ever seen and nearly all we could dream of or imagine was at one point drawn in by our eyes. Even the darkness is a product of our sight – or at least our knowledge of the existence of the dark. From the vast African plains to the tiniest pebble our eyes have brought pictures into our lives: an understanding of existence. They are small enough to fit on our faces yet they have seen the world. The more and more we travel the more and more our eyes produce pictures that our minds can contain. They have seen both good and bad; love and hate; the enormous and the microscopic – they have seen nearly all we know.

*Recently I have decided to browse through old journals. This is a discovery I made from February 5th, 2008*
