The Beautiful Numbing V
Orion mounts the darkness
As Polaris swings the stars
So Vega falls further beyond the trees
And the swan dives deeper
And the Swan hides deeper
And the Swan has faded beneath the dying leaves.
See the northern clouds, they rise,
They shift to block the gaze
And thoughts of thinkers far beyond mere words
But the eyes gaze deeper
And the stars singe deeper
And their flashes point to things lost as seasons change.
The moon hides behind its veil
With its beauty singing through
While the world rushes by without a glance
And the sight stabs deeper
And the heart runs deeper
And glorious starships fly by on frozen paths.
The leaf has broken the walk
Now I stand before my King
Our eyes will meet with wonder stretched between
And my breath glides deeper
And my hands reach deeper
Pulling distance closer against my warming chest.
