My Deepest Desire
A family with the warmth and intimacy of two hands drawn tightly around a coffee cup. That is my deepest desire.
I long to belong to a family that not only welcomes people in, but allows them to continue to feel welcome. I long for a family full of adventure and exploration. One that not only explores creation, but that openly searches its own heart. In my heart of hearts, I desire a family that does not end with a blood line, but welcomes in strangers and invites them to be a part of something. I pray for this: a family of depth that holds warmth, love and intimacy at its core.
When I picture home I see a living room with a roaring fire that tickles the faces of a family that live beyond themselves; that have learned how to laugh; and who cannot help, but smile at the thought of welcoming another in.
What do you desire most?

I desire to know that I did not waste the time and gifts God gave me.
